We were founded in 2011 by NBA Player Jose Juan Barea, so that he and his work group could manage accordingly contributions that would benefit social transformation.
The Foundation’s core focus is bettering athletic facilities, education and children’s discipline via basketball.
In our contribution via basketball to social transformation, we are fortunate to have the support of numerous communities, FIBA Las Americas, Mav’s Foundation, Department of Sports and Recreation, Department of Education, leaders of various communities and our sponsors.
Over 12 courts have been transformed to date.
After the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Jose Juan Barea and the Foundation initiate relief efforts. Logistics are coordinated and commenced by sending an airplane full of provisions to Puerto Rico.
Sixteen municipalities and approximately 20,000 families have benefited.
The efforts in helping Puerto Rico are ongoing to date.
